Trans fats is bad for your heart

I hardly ever give my kids ccokies and cakes, and i also never use margarine. Reason being they all contain high levels of trans fats. Trans fats, also called trans fatty acids, occur naturally in small amounts in dairy products and meat. They are also formed by a process called partial hydrogenation, which is used to extend the shelf-life of processed food.

It lends that crisp and crunchy taste to the majority of foods sold today. They have no nutritional value at all. High intake of trans fats boost “bad” cholesterol levels, which in turn increases the risk of coronary heart disease. Learn to read food labels. If it says “hydrogenated”, partial or non, it goes back to the shelf. If the process of hydrogenation can solidify foods, they will definitely clog up your arteries in no time.
