How to ripen a tomato

Avoid refrigerating tomatoes that is not fully ripe. Most are still ripening and woould benefit more if you were to leave them out on the counter for a few days. The cool temperature of your fridge will alter the fruit’s flavour and halts the ripening process.

Only put tomatoes back into the fridge when they are full ripened. They can be kept for a few days. If you want to hasten the ripening process, put it together with an apple in a perforated bag.
