Wonderful herb called basil

The basil plant (Ocinum basilicum), emits a fresh, herbaceous scent. By steam-distilling this herb, it produces oil that can be colorless, pale yellow or pale green and has a light spicy smell with a balsamic or camphor-like undertone. It possesses sedative and stimulating actions, it’s capable of warding off anxiety attackes and nervous tension and fighting mental fatigue while strengthening mental functions.

As a nerve tonic, basil oil can calm nervousness. Psychologists abd physicians in Europe even use it to treat melancholy and depression because it helps minimise fear and sadness while fortifying weak nerves. So, if you feel stressed next time, try sniffing on basil.
