15 reasons why TV is bad for children

Researchers have found a strong link between the TV and a host of adverse consequences in children. Some of these include slower progress at school and poor health continuing into adulthood. Children under three shouldnt be left watching the tv unattended. Between the ages of 3 - 5, allow no more than half an hour of “good quality” tv programs a day. Increase to an hour for 5 - 12 year olds a day.

TV viewing may hamper brain development and is lnked to poor educational achievement. Here are just 15 hramful effects of TV on children:
