Tips for stronger bones

Here are some tips on how to keep your bones strong and healthy:

1) Regular weight exercise can help maintain strong and healthy bones. This includes exercises that involves the legs and other parts where the bones support our body weight.

2) Essential fatty acids like safflower oil and lecithin helps in calcium absorption by increasing the contact time in the small intestines.

3) Vitamin D is essential for assisting our body in the absorption of calcium. Our skin, in contact with sunlight, will produce vitamin D on its own. Some food like cheese and cereal also contain Vitamin D.

4) Reduce consumption of liquor, coffee and carbonated drinks as all these drinks will eventually lead to calcium loss. Smoking will also reduce bone density.
