Applying for secured loans

My brother-in-law lost some money in the stock a few months back. He thought his friends would loan him some money to settle his debts, but he was so wrong. His friends got word of his losses and stopped picking up his calls. He was devasted as he thought those were his close friends whome he goes out for dinner with every night.

My father-in-law advised him to check with the bank on secured loans to see if he qualifies for one or not. He reminded him over and over again to ask about unsecured loan, bad credit loan and to get as much info as possible on how to consolidate debt. My father-in-law does not have the money to help him out. But i’m sure my brother-in-law will have no problem applying for a secured loan as he still has a house.
