Foods for diabetics

It’s a fact that diabetics have to be very careful with their food intake. One easy to prepare meal that dibetics can take is organic oats. Oats contains beta-glucan , a soluble fibre which slows down the rate at which sugar is absorbed into the blood. Beta-glucan also helps in reducing blood cholesterol. besides oats, certain carbohydrates such as pasta, sweet potatoes, nad rye can provide s slow steady release of energy without raising your blood sugar level.

many diabetic still take lots of white rice. I strongly suggests that you opt for organic brown rice and organic red rice instead. They are both rich in insoluble fibre, zinc and chromium. Chromium is an essential trace mineral that’s required to enhance the action of insulin. Banana, cranberry, almond and sunflower seeds are all good for diabetics as long as you eat them in moderation.

I eat only organic and corn pasta now. I had a hard time finding it at my grocery store so I\’m ordering it online now. Now i can indulge in my favorite pasta dishes without feeling guilty. Corn pasta is great to reduce gluten in your diet. Here\’s where I found it and it\’s affordable. Enjoy!
