I’m glad to know that my close friend’s husband is finally free from his drug addiction. She hopes it’s for real this time. He was very upset when his business failed and spent most of his time moping at the store. She told him to close it down for good, sell the big house off and move to a smaller place. He was too proud to do so and insists that he can managed. He soon started drinking and would go out once in a while.

Very soon, he spent most of his evenings at the pub with friends to drink his sadness away. He woke up one morning and found himself lying in a pool of blood with a bad concussion on his head. He got so afraid but thank god at the same time that he’s still alive. He knew he cannot go on living this way and with encouragement from his wife, he checked himself into an alcohol intervention center. He got his life back on track with help from the center and vowed never to turn to alcohol when he’s down.
