How long was your hospital stay during delivery?

When i delivered my baby at the hospital, i stayed there for two days. My friend on the other hand, chose to stay there for a week instead. She says she’d rather rest at the hospital than be home alone with the baby. Her husband is away at the office all day long and only comes home late at night. Her mom was away on her holiday and wont be back to help her with her newborn. So, she feels the hospital is still the best place for the first week after her delivery. Easy for her cos it’s her first baby. Things are different with me as i still have another toddler waiting at home for my return from the hospital with baby. Hubby can only do so much, lol.

I asked her how she spends her days at the hospital as she dont have to keep an eye on baby. The nurses will bring baby over to her to be breastfed. Thereafter, he will be sleeping at the nursery until his next feed. I chose to room-in with mine though cos i just want to look at him all day long, lol. Silly me. I should be resting and i didnt do that. She brought her laptop along with her to the hospital though. Her husband accompanies her at night. It can be boring for him so what he did was he went and did sports betting at GTLT Sports to kill time, lol. At least he’s willing to stay there at the hospital with my friend. Cannot complain much, huh.

QRay therapeutic magnetic bracelets

My hands are really tired. I have to type at my keyboard for long hours everyday of the week. I am a fulltime blogger with many blogs that needs constant updating. I love what i’m doing but the long hours i put in can really stress me out at times. And my hands do get tired easily. I have to walk away from my desk and do some light exercise before i continue with my work. My friend suggested to me that try the QRay bracelet and see if it helps. She’s also a blogger like me and was introduced to it by her mother in law.

She says the Qray is one of the most popular therapeutic magnetic bracelets around and she’s been wearing one for a long time. I had one of those therapeutic magnetic bracelets before. But i hate the fact that they have two small balls at the ends of the bracelet. Each time i put my hands down, they get in the way. Cumbersome. I stopped wearing them after a while. My friend says the Qray has flat ends and definitely more comfortable that the one that i’ve worn before. I dont mind giving it a try though. If you are interested, the link in this post will lead you to the site.

Natural Skin Care

Natural skin care is not something modern, in fact it is the most basic skin care methods known to men, a long time before we were watching television commercials that showed us elaborate scientists explaining how their new formula had made a breakthrough in skin research and skin care humans have been using the things that grow around them as remedies for skin problems and found many herbs and plants that helped the skin to look better, younger and healthier.
It is not surprising that most of the people on earth will be more suspicious of a chemical product that has been developed in laboratories and tested on animals time and time again, while science has made human life what it is this day it is still fighting many battles with understanding the way that the skin works and the needs of the human skin, not to mention the features and qualities that human skin has.

The need for skin care products is on the rise and that is a direct result of more and more people in the world have problems with the effects the chemical skin care products, while it is true that many others enjoy the same chemical skin care products there are many others that have serious problems with it.

The battle for a better skin in fact a fight to balance and nurture the skin, the human skin is effected from its environment, and the modern life has also a heavy toll on the health of our skin, the products that are on the market for skin care are in fact balancing products that aim to restore the main qualities f the skin and strengthen it in order to protect it from the damage that is inflicted on it daily. The advantage to the natural skin care products is that the scientists that make these products do not use any chemicals so the risk that the person using the product will be sensitive to it is relatively low, although there are some people who are extremely sensitive and can not use even a natural and non chemical skin care products, but these are very rare in the population.

The ingredients used in natural skin care are taken for the natural world, you can find many different kinds of flowers like lavender and the cedar wood, the use of honey and oats of different kinds is also common among the natural skin care products, the researchers search every organic product for its potential qualities and apply them to the skin, sometimes creating a sort of cycle in which products that are generally considered foods are used to nourish the skin and protect it.

Skin care is a very delicate matter, it is important that we use efficient products that’ll protect and nourish our skin, there are many products on the markets around the world, but it seems that the natural skin care option is growing more massive with time, it is only natural that many of us will try the natural solution for our skin care needs.

Fitted Diapers

Fitted Diapers are a two-layer nappy system usually made from some absorbent material, maybe hemp or cotton. Designed in an hourglass shape, Fitted Diapers eliminate the need to fold and pin. This saves time when out in public and a quick nappy change is in order!
Though the Fitted nappy may seem similar to the contoured nappy, they actually differ in that - fitted nappies carry elastic in the legs and waist region. This gives Fitted Diapers an advantage, as it can be worn without an outer cover, displaying those cute prints on the diaper! Also, the lack of cover means baby’s body feels cool and will get plenty of air. With its unique hourglass design, Fitted Diapers make movement simple for babies by preventing the ‘waddling effect’ caused by bulky and cumbersome diapers.

Leaks and stains rarely appear on a Fitted cloth nappy, as it provides excellent containment against even solid waste, thus keeping covers clean. However, Fitted Diapers take longer to wash and dry due to its being a two-layer nappy system. In addition, they are high-priced, and are better suited for outside wear. Along with a set of ordinary nappies, it is recommended to invest in a few fitted cloth nappies for when taking baby out on his first picnic!

Fitted Diapers are available in several kinds of fabrics like hemp, organic cotton, and organic cotton prints. Some of the brands that carry fitted cloth nappies are Punkin-butt, and Sugar Peas. Other brands include Tots Bots, Motherease, Popolino, Bambino Mio, and others. In fact, Fitted Diapers are available in every major brand, and in a varied price range to suit your budget!

Natural home remedies for common cold

Most people have their own home remedies for the common cold. Here are just a few tried and tested ones. Do give it a try. Definitely much better than taking prescriptive drugs.
Chicken soup

Chicken contains selenium, an important trace element for proper immune system function and overall good health. If you ask someone how to cure the common cold and they recommend chicken soup, it is probably because they know that it makes them feel better. The warm soup soothes the throat. The steam can temporarily decongest the nose, making it easier to breathe. Adding onions, garlic and pepper, some other home remedies for the common cold, can increase this effect. Plus, these spicy additions are easier to taste and smell. Both of these senses are slightly diminished by common cold symptoms.

Honey and lemon tea

Lemon juice is a good source of vitamin C, which is important for proper immune system function. Herbal teas, made from mullein, sweetened with honey and lemon can be very soothing to the throat and can temporarily open clogged breathing passages. Horehound tea can also be used to relieve coughs. Green tea has been the subject of a number of studies and has been shown to effectively increase energy and metabolism. Honey should not be given to small children.

Orange juice

nother good source of vitamin C, juices and fluids are frequently used home remedies for the common cold and increased fluids are typically suggested by physicians and other health care professionals to reduce the likelihood of becoming dehydrated. Research about how to cure the common cold indicates that vitamin C supplementation may reduce the duration of cold symptoms.
Steam baths and humidifiers

While inhaling steam might reduce congestion temporarily, there is no evidence that it reduces duration of symptoms. Some experts believe that a dry nose is more susceptible to viral infection. But, using a room humidifier or sitting in a steamy water closet might not relieve symptoms. Researchers looking for an answer to how to cure the common cold found that the rhinovirus and other common cold viruses are more active in lower humidity, which may be one of the reasons that people have more colds in the winter months, when humidity is lower. But, these viruses thrive in the warm and moist conditions that are always present in the nose.

Rest

Rest is always important to human health, but particularly so during viral infections. One of the often recommended home remedies for the common cold is to rest in bed. Whether or not bed rest reduces the duration of a cold has not been studied, but is still recommended by physicians and other experts. Some people maintain that how to cure the common cold is to spend the day in bed. Certainly, this is a common cold remedy that has no side effects; it can’t hurt you.

Mom prefers gold

My mom used to tell me if i want to buy jewelry, then go for gold. I told her i prefer silver as it’s easier to match with today’s fashion and not so garish if worn during the day. I know gold is still the best precious metal to buy, but then, it’s so expensive. She did however advised me to buy gold coins as a form of gold investment. It will only appreciate and if one day, i need cash, i can sell it off without much losses. Everything depreciates, but not gold. One day, when i’ve made enough money i’ll buy some gold coins for safekeeping.
