Organic Parade

When i bought my laptop, i made very sure its configuration came with sufficient laptop memory. The only thing i cannot do much about is the short lifespan of the battery. Given the choice, i wish i ‘d bought a laptop that has a battery lifespan of more than 10 hours. Then, i dont have to lug so many items out with me whenever i need to work at the cafe.

All these items add to the overall weight of the laptop bag. It’s already heavy enough. Right now, the battery is almost dead. It can only run for less than 30 minutes. Time to get a new one. But if it’s too expensive, i might consider getting a new laptop instead. The Sony Vaio is beckoning……. aaarrrrggghhhh

I’m still contemplating whether to send the car for a fresh coat of paint or not. It’s in need of one as the paintwork at the top of the car is all cracked and faded. Quite an eyesore. I may need to travel these days and i dont think it’s gonna make a good impression. I may buy some chrome accessories to spruce it up a bit and service the car too. School holiday will be here soon and i want to take my kids to the city. I’d better get it done soon lest i procrastinate further.

I bought some organic kamut pasta over the weekend. I havent seen kamut pastas at the organic section before and hubby wanted to give it a try. I picked up a few bottles of organic pasta sauce as i am too lazy to cook these days. We then headed over to the departmental store where the men’s fashion are having a sale before going home. I hope my kids like the organic kamut pasta. Will update on this once i’ve cooked it for them during the weekdays.

I was pretty surprised to note that my doctor is not as old-fashioned as i thought he is. When i visited him for a routine check up the other day, i saw him using a cool new PDA phone. He says it’s the latest Blackberry and he even has this free medical applications for blackberry installed onto it. It’s the Epocrates medical reference software, which is now used by over 500,000 healthcare professionals.

I just got back from the hospital. My sister was admitted two nights ago for some middle ear infection. She was complaining of feeling dizzy and had difficulty walking too. She asked me to bring along some magazines for her. I have no problem with that cos i buy tonnes of magazines every month. Just that, i have to get someone to look after my kids when i go there. I do not like to bring children to the hospital cos their immune system are still not strong enough. But then i noticed that many does that. They even bring their babies along too when they visit their sick relatives and friends. Dont they know their babies might fall ill if they contract some airborned virus there? And hospitals are full of them. How stupid can they be.

Anyway, i walked past the maternity floor and that reminded of the times when i had my babies. Time flies so fast. My baby is now 14 months old and can walk already. When i arrived at the ward, the doctor was inside my sister’s room. I went down to the cafeteria to get a drink and sat right behind a booth with two ladies chatting away. I overheard one of them telling the other that she is considering going for a liposuction or tummy tuck to make her flabby stomach look better. The other told her she wants to go for rhinoplasty to fix her flat nose. I didnt sit there long enough to hear how their conversation went and whether would they go for it or not. Me, i’m lucky that i regained my pre-pregnancy figure through breastfeeding and religious exercise. I eat good food and maintain a healthy diet of lots of fruits and vegetables. If you want to look good after the birth of your baby, i suggest you do the same too.

My neighbor popped over and asked us where we bought the metal locking mailbox she saw at our porch. She told us she found her mail and package of disposable gloves missing as the sender called her up many times asking her about those documents they sent her. She told them she didnt receive and requested that they send again. The sender then called her again the following week asking for the return of her signed documents and yet, she told them once again she didnt receive them in her mail. That’s when she suspected that someone must have tampered with her mailbox.

She’s heard of security mailboxes and locking mailboxes before but havent really seen one until ours arrive. I told her i bought it to replace ours as the lock on our old one is broken. At the same time, it also prevents other people from stealing our mail. Who knows what kind of mischief kids can be up to these days. They may mean no harm but they sure cant tell important document from regular mail. If you are concerned of this issue yourself, you may want to have one installed too.

My cousin sent me a parcel from overseas last week. When it arrived, i found the postage tape was tampered with. At first, i thought someone must have found my parcel interesting enough to try and open it. My cousin was smart enough to double wrap it. The person attempting to open it must have seen the second carton box inside and left it at that. I guess i’m lucky that nothing is stolen. To my surprise, it’s a few tubes of the best teeth whitening products. Gee, cant wait to try them out.

Dont ask me to show you my celebrity sexy smile now. I dont have any left for the time being. I’m in hospital and wont be home till tomorrow. Down with suspected food poisoning. So, how do you expect me to smile, right. But then, i’m also thankful that apart from a bad tummy ache and continuous urge to vomit, i dont have anything nasty growing inside me.

I have the endoscope vdc with me. I just viewed it and it’s a clear one. At least something to smile about. Oh, well. I wont be seeing the doctor till tomorrow morning. I just want to go home, back to the comfort of my messy bedroom. My kids miss me, i miss them too.  I bet i’ll be greeted with lots of celebrity sexy smiles the moment i reach home

I seldom see the old lady that lived down the road lately. I asked my mother-in-law and found out that she’s gone to live in a care home. They go get together for a chat in the evenings and she learned that her neighbor cannot get along well with her daughter-in-law and decided to move out to a care home to avoid creating disharmony within the family. I certainly wouldnt want my mother-in-law to go live on her own. I cannot imagine why her son would allow his mom to live ther but it’s their business and of course, we dont have a say in other people’s domestic problems.
