Does your hubby travel a lot?

I used to dread whenever hubby has to travel outstation on business trips. When the kids were younger, they’ll cry as they miss having their Papa around. They can now understand that Papa has to work and look forward to his phone calls. Too bad 3g signal here sucks. If not, we can have video calls too.

Last week, he was down in KL for a land acquisition deal. And then, he had to go look for material handling equipments. Been there for five days. The kids were already in bed by the time he came home late last night. And boy, you should have seen them this morning. Looks like there’ll be lots of shopping trips with the kids starting today.

Is it time to renew your car insurance?

My neighbor had better thank his lucky stars today. Hubby was up and out earlier than him this morning. He took a look at our road tax disc and found that it’s time to get both the road tax and car insurance renewed. As our neighbor’s car was parked right next to ours, hubby took a glance at it and found that his had expired last month. That means our neighbor has been driving around with an expired road tax. OMG!!! He called him up immediately and he ran out from the bedroom still clad in his pjs, lol. He’d better go get it renewed today or else…….

Have you bought your Wii Fit yet?

My sis just came by to collect her Wii and Wii Fit. She was complaining of getting fat in the middle, lol. I explained to her how the Wii Fit can help her manage her weight and get her working out in the comfort of her bedroom. After showing her how to set the Wii Fit up, she tried out some Yoga poses on the Wii Fit and was pleased with it. I’m having fun with my Wii Fit too. I have to find a better time arrangement to work out on my Wii Fit more. Those who are still popping diet pills may want to give the Wii Fit a try.

How I Lost All My Belly Fat In Three Days Naturally

I was feeling so bloated for the past three weeks or so. My belly is so big that i look more like i’m a few months pregnant, lol. My hubby told me i’m getting fatter by the day. How can. I weigh less than a hundred pounds. How can i be fat, right. He says if i continue to put on weight in the middle, i may need some super-charged fat burner soon, lol. Forget it. I hate to pop pills and such.

You know what, i now take a glass of milk before i go to bed each night. By morning, i dont have to wait long to go to the toilet and poo. Two days later, my big belly is almost flattened, lol. Geee, i’ve got so much gunk in me. Milk really does wonders for a sluggish bowel system. It must be the surge of calcium that did the trick. It promotes great peristaltic action and also regulates heartbeat. With so much nutrients packed into a single glass, i’ve got nothing to lose and so much to gain. Oh well, i did lose something….. my fat belly is gone…….. not that i mind too :)

Time to wean him

I’ve been blogging much for the past few months. My toddler has suddenly developed a tendency to wake up a few times in the night. I cant sit here for ten minutes without him sitting up and screaming in bed. My earnings has taken a huge dive from where it once was. Looks like i wont be able to go on a vacation to these lovely Mykonos villa rentals end of this year. I have to try to get him to wean off me as soon as possible. If not, i can really forget about leading a normal life. Cant be taking time-off blogging forever.

Tips For Long Lasting Summer Nail Polish

Warm weather is here, and that means most of us will be wearing nail polish more often to show off our hands and feet. The barer summer clothes and sandals mean your feet and hands will be center stage, so putting a few extra minutes into proper nail care is must for the prettiest looks. Whether you are applying nail polish to your hands or toes, the basic principles to make your manicure or pedicure last are the same.

1. Prepare your nails properly before polishing. Nail polish won’t adhere well to nails that are dirty or oily. Wash your hands thoroughly to remove any lotions, dirt or oils, and then brush each nail with a bit of nail polish remover. This will remove all oils from the nail itself and prepare it for accepting polish.

2. Lightly buff your nails and file off any rough edges. Polish will be more apt to peeling and flaking if the nails are rough around the edges or have ridges in them. Filing and buffing gives a smoother surface so that polish won’t flake.

3. Select the right polish. Did you know that nail polish expires? Most brands will only last about a year before they become thicker and start to clump. Polish that’s too thick will go on thicker and won’t dry well, leading to more chance of smearing or smudging. Most nail polish formulas are similar and will last nearly a week, but fast drying formulas are an exception. The extra ingredients that grant fast drying polishes to set so quickly also makes them peel more swiftly, so try to avoid fast-dry formulas unless you absolutely have to use them. The extra few minutes spent drying a standard nail polish will be well worth it if your manicure lasts days longer.

4. Care for your polish properly. Summer weather is especially tough on nail polish – the high temperatures can cause polish to separate and the color to change. To keep your nail polish in top condition, refrigerate it in the summer. You should also clean the polish bottle carefully after each use by wiping the outside edge of the bottle with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover to keep the bottle from sticking shut. Finally, be sure that you gently blend the nail polish before applying by rolling the bottle between your hands. Shaking a bottle of polish will create air bubbles in the polish that can cause bumps and clumps when you apply it – guaranteed to shorten the life span of your manicure or pedicure.

5. Use a base coat and top coat. It takes a bit more time to do a complete manicure rather than just throwing on some polish, but its well worth the effort. After your nails are clean, be sure to apply a base coat; this product prepares the nail for polish and gives nail polish something to cling to so that it lasts longer. Follow this with two thin coats of polish in the desired color, and then finish off with a quality top coat. When you apply the top coat, be sure to run the brush horizontally across the tip of the nail with a bit of it going under the edge of the nail. This will help prevent peeling and seals the manicure properly.

6. Don’t rush things. Be sure to let your nails dry five to ten minutes between each coat. If the coat below isn’t absolutely dry before you add the next one, your nails won’t dry properly for quite a while, leading to chips and smudges. If you’re in a rush or simply impatient, plunge your nails into ice water for a few seconds between coats – this will swiftly dry and seal the polish.

Enjoy your beautifully painted, long lasting nails! Remember not to open soda cans or pick at envelopes with your freshly painted nails. Using your nails as tools won’t help you keep your nail polish fresh at all!

Aging Male Syndrome

As men get older, they begin to notice all kinds of changes with their bodies. Many have gained a few extra pounds around their waist, they are fatigued, and their interest in sex takes a nosedive. In the past, all this was attributed to the natural aging process. However, recent studies have shown that every one of the above symptoms is an indicator of a clinical deficiency brought on by abnormal low levels of testosterone which is referred to as Aging Male Syndrome.

As men age, their testosterone levels do lower, this is a gradually process that takes several years. It does however result in male hypogonadism, which is called Andropause. Yes, this is male menopause. It is not a myth; it is a real health problem for many men over the age of 40.

Symptoms of Andropause include low energy, loss of sex drive, problems with memory, and depression. As Andropause progresses many men begin to have other health problems such as osteoporosis, ill health, dementia, heart problems, circulatory problems and falls. Circulatory problems can lead to or actually contribute to erectile dysfunction. If you look at women as they enter into menopause and what happens to their bodies with lower estrogen levels you should be able to comprehend that men with lower testosterone levels will have similar health problems.

It is believed that Aging Male Syndrome could be the missing or hidden link for men’s overall health. It could be the contributing factor for several serious health conditions such as osteoporosis, depression, heart disease, and diabetes. Yes, every man as they age will begin to have lower testosterone levels, but many do not realize the difference between a natural decline and low testosterone levels. The low levels that are apparent with Aging Male Syndrome are real medical concerns for men.

In the United States, research on the effects of aging in males is way behind where it should be. This could be from the male ego that does not allow them to consider the fact that Andropause is in fact a real problem. The male ego keeps them thinking that all their problems, health and psychological, are just part of the normal aging process. Other countries have stepped up the pace and realized that both men and women go through an aging process that can lead to health problems and have done something to bring attention to the Aging Male Syndrome and Andropause. In Europe, the European Menopause Society recently changed their name to The European Menopause & Andropause Society. In Canada, they have an organization for men exclusively known as the Canadian Andropause Society. There are other organizations found in Australia and the United Kingdom, however, no such organization or society exist in the United States even though around ten million men in America are affected.

More should be done to give information to men across the country that their symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, tiredness, depression, weakness, and loss of sex drive could be due to low testosterone and could be treated.
