Organic Parade

The hot weather is making me feel dehydrated whole day long. Night isnt much better too. My electricity bill is at an all time high and i’ve stopped using the air-cond during the day no matter how hot it is. I’ll just take a cold bath, wear sleeveless tank tops and shorts, and coat myself with cooling mentholated powder to keep the heat off. My lips are also suffering and i can see some cracks appearing. I’m out of lip gloss and dont feel like going out to buy any. Well, we all live in the internet age now. Can always go shop for lip gloss online. Take this Burt’s Bees range for example. It’s made of natural ingredients and i can even apply it on my kids. I like it. Will definitely help heal my cracked lips.

My kid was down with a really bad tummy last week. Took him almost 4 days to fully recover. He is so skinny now and doesnt want to eat much these few days. He only wants to eat noodles with eggs. I dont mind cooking him noodles, but i sure dont want him to eat too many eggs each day. It’s really not a good idea to let kids eat eggs everyday. I made him some organic kamut pasta the yesterday and added tofu to the pasta sauce. It’s texture is almost like egg and my kid seems to like it. Well, i’ll make him another round when he comes back from school afterwards. Hope he wont complain much and eat everything up.

I’m getting sleepy again as i was woken up at 9am this morning. I hate it when the phone rings at that hour and i have no choice but to answer it. No one calls me at THAT hour, ok. Maybe the bank. This morning, the call was from one of my credit card issuers. They are having some balance transfer programs and asked me if i’m interested in that or not. Then, it’s one of their super insurance packages with an investment program tied to it. Gimme a break. It’s a really bad idea to buy insurance that way, k. I will only buy life insurance after comparing with a few insurance companies. Anyway, i’ve left the link to one here if you are interested. Check it out, ok.

I read one of the comments on Facebook just now. My friend is complaining that price of dog food has gone up a lot. She has a few dogs to care for and it’s hard to keep them for long if this continues. I told her to give one or two away but she wouldnt listen. Oh, well. Perhaps it’s easy for her as she’s single and do not have a family to care for except her dogs. If you have pets and would like to buy some pet supplies online, i found a site here. A friend once joked with me saying parenting can be a fattening duty. Now i understand why. Lately, my kid keep asking me to cook him noodles. He will eat a few spoonful of it and stop. And then insists he feeds me the remaining noodle in his bowl. If not, all hell will break loose, lol. I hate to see good food go to waste. You know how expensive organic food costs these days, right. I’ve put on quite a few pounds this way. Oh, man. If this go on, i might need weight loss pills later on….

I met up with a few friends this evening for tea. Most of them were telling me how costly it can be to be on contraceptives. We were discussing the various forms available to us in the market when Kelly told us what she read at WebMD yesterday. Seems that the FDA has approved the FC2 Female Condom to help prevent pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and other sexually transmitted diseases.

She told me us the original female condom is called the FC1 Female Condom and it was approved by the FDA in 1993. If you’ve not used nor seen a female condom before, it’s just a thin, flexible sheath that’s worn by a woman inside her vagina. You dont need a doctor’s prescription to buy a female condom. And also, do note that it’s not a reusable item.

Now, the good news. The FC2 costs up to 30% less than the FC1. So, do give it a try. She also told us she found AdultsOnlyCoupons.com, a site where she can get a lot of discount coupons for adult items like condoms, movies and also some sexy lingerie. Isnt it great. Now i dont have to go look for adult items at the local shops. Geeee…. i wonder if they have discount coupons for edible lingerie or not. I’d sure like to get a few for my cousin, who’s getting married next month, lol.

My neighbor’s dad, who’s a diabetic, passed away last month. It’s been more than a month since his passing and my neighbor’s is till very sad about it. I am too. I also miss my dad very much. He left us for more than three months already. Well, i still have mom to love and care for. So, i’ll try and be the best daughter and make the most of the time we have together. Though my neighbor’s dad is no longer here, she still needs to buy medical products for her mom. She’s looking for a rollator and i told her she can get it online at Allegro Medical. I’m so tired these days. I’m also having problem getting a good night’s sleep. My hubby suggests i change the pillow again. The Bamboo Charcoal pillow that i’ve been using is more than six months old already. Moreover, my kid’s been trampling on it a lot and broke the packet containing the Bamboo Charcoal. I can see the black stains on the inner side of the pillow cover now. It’s a good idea to change it soon as i sure wont want to breathe in fine charcoal particles in my sleep. I find that i sleep better when i first bought it. Yup, hubby may be right. Time i go buy myself a new Bamboo Charcoal pillow again.

I’ve been eating Quaker Oats to rid myself of all the weight i accumulated for the past few months. I’ve been out a lot drinking beer with hubby since December and i’ve put on quite a fair amount of weight. I dont like crash diets at all as i feel that they are not good for my overall health. And so, after a few months of eating Quaker Oats for breakfast and supper, i’m now back to my ideal weight again. HAPPY!!! If you’re trying to lose weight, i’d suggest you eat Quaker Oats on a daily basis. I love mine with Marmite. What about you?

I’m now watching TVB E.U Episode 16 as i work. Downloaded it last weekend but didnt get to watch it. I think it’s time i buy a bigger monitor so that i can work better with so many application on my desktop. I heard that 24 inches LCD monitors are quite cheap nowadays. I have a spare pc at the guest room and it’s without a monitor. The one i’m using now can go to that pc. Let’s see how. Meanwhile, lemme go get some online life insurance quotes for a friend first. She needs the info by tonight.So, i’d better get round to it before i forget.

The bad economy is really not doing everyone much good. Just the other day, the organic shop i used to go to had to move to another part of town. I called up the owner to ask her where she’s moved to and i was sad to hear that i now need to drive more than half an hour just to reach her new place. She told me it’s near where she lives and the rental there is much lower.

The moving company only took one day to ferry all her goods over to the new shop. Good to hear that. I took down the moving company’s contact as i may need their service later on when i move house.
