uRobic vs iGallop

One of my favorite place at Parkson is the Osim Store. I buy a lot of nutritional supplements at the GNC outlet located right inside the store. Apart from that, i also relax myself by getting a free massage on one of their massage chairs. Another one of my favorite machines is the uRobic. I can just sit there and let it twist and twist and twist. To be frank, i prefer it over the iGallop. My friend loves it so much that she even went and bought some equestrian clothing just so to look cool on it, lol. Anyway, if you’ve not sat on the uRobic before, then go give it a shot. You’ll love it.

Ten good reasons to meditate

Have you always wanted to know why it’s beneficial to meditate. Meditation is the practice of lowering one’s brain frequency from a waking Beta say to a slower Alpha say. Just as a heart beats a certain number of beats per minute, the brain pulses a certain amount of brainwaves per second. In the Beta waking say, brainwaves vary from 15 to 40 cycles per second. In the Alpha say, brainwaves vary from 9 to 14 cycles per second.

Beta is the normal say for waking thoughts and daily activities including speaking, working, and shopping. Beta is the state most people are in when in a working mode. Alpha is the slower state where an individual can reflect, meditate or ponder thoughts.

The following are 10 key benefits to daily meditation:

• Oneness with God and creation
• Stress reduction and decreased anxiety
• Reduces the noise and chatter of our waking minds
• Pain reduction and management
• Supports the immune system
• Reduces blood pressure
• Improved memory and ability to learn
• Feelings of peace, calmness and an awareness of self
• Improves moodiness and irritability
• Feelings of rejuvenation

This deeper, richer, calming experience has a profound effect on body, mind and spirit. Our minds become clearer; the noise and chatter in our minds fades away. In its place come feelings of peace, calmness and a sense of awareness. We feel lighter, younger and rejuvenated. Moods brighten and irritability is eliminated paving the way for clearer thoughts, improved memory, insightfulness and creativity.

The ability to relax and calm our minds has its physical benefits as well.

As our minds our soothed, physical pain and tension are reduced or eliminated. Chronic pain including severe headaches can be completely negated. Our circulatory, cardiovascular and immune systems operate more efficiently.

The benefits of meditation are vast. In a world of daily stress and anxiety, meditation paves the way for a healthy mind, body and spirit. For healthy living, practice meditation daily.

Exercise for a slimmer waistline

Everyone loves a slimmer waistline, who doesnt. But you dont really need to workout religiously at a gym to achieve a flatter stomach. Here’s a few simple techniques that you can do in the comfort of your own home:

  • Do 10 stomach crunches before getting out of bed every morning. Double the repetitions every other day till you can increase to 100. Dont think it’s impossible. IT IS!! Just try it. Isnt it a small price to pay for fab abs?

Me, i’ve not reached the 100 mark yet. I’m only at 65 and i’m seeing great results. When i do get there finally, i’m sure i’ll be having rock-hard abs. I’ll bug hubby to reward me a new exotic car when and i’ve achieved my rock-hard abs. Unfortunately, we dont have any contact for an exotic car dealer. I’ll have to drool over those exotic cars online :)
