Important Points When Choosing A Humidifier For Kids

The four important points to note when choosing a humidifier for your kids are :

1) noise – a low noise emission ensures your kid get a good sleep at night
2) design – some kids are very particular about the kind of stuffs we adults place in tier room. So, if it comes in a cute design, they are more likely to allow it being in their domain.
3) cost – need not be expensive. It just has to its job of ensuring your kids’ room is not dry
4) ease of cleaning – the tank must be removable and does not leave droplets of water everywhere both inside and outside of the tank.

A room with cold, dry air isnt good for kids. So, buy a humidifier for kids with the above points as a guideline. I found some here. So, check them out and hope you find one that suits your requirements and budget:

Always Fresh Containers Keeps Food Fresh Longer

Time really flies when a person is fully occupied. My day usually starts at 8am and ends around 10pm. By then, i dont feel like staying up to sit at the computer anymore. In fact, i’ve slowed down on my work a lot. Though it’s affected my income a lot, i dont really mind it as i feel better each day with sufficient rest. I’m in a more positive mood and things get done faster than before. Hubby is also happy to see a more cheerful me these days. He says that Mother’s Day is just round the corner and he will be back to celebrate the day with the kids and i. Come to think of that, i’ve not bought any present for my mom and mother-in-law yet. I heard a friend mentioning these always fresh containers the other day. They help keep food fresh longer in the fridge minimizing wastage. I think these will make perfect Mother’s Day gift for them both. What do you think?

UV Clothing

I’ve turned at least 200 shades darker ever since i started sending my kids to and fro school in the afternoons. The weather is so hot that even applying sunscreens doesnt help much to keep me fair. Well, not that i’m fair to begin with also. I try my best to remember to put on the pair of long hand gloves when i drive. I think it’s best i go buy myself some UV Clothing to block out the sun’s harsh rays. Sun Blocking Clothing is by far the most effective way to combat UV rays for me. If only i can find a store selling it here locally. I’d drive out and get a few this very instant.

Of Old Age And Senility

I used to hear people saying that as one grows old, one becomes senile. So, how far true can that be? Let me tell you this, it can be quite true. You see, someone apparently used a plastic steaming rack with the wok and caused it to melt. And this someone is more than 60 years old. And this someone has been cooking forever. How can that someone not know that plastic will melt inside the wok? If not for senility, i dont have another word for it. And just in case you dont know, the plastic steamer rack is the kind that came with the rice cooker. And it’s to be used with the rice cooker and nothing but the rice cooker, period.

Ants Under My Bed

I saw ants under my bed the other day. It was at the far end corner and i need to crawl all the way in to get rid of it. The trail was so long and made my skin crawl. I had no choice but to spray a little insect spray onto the trail. It’s only a tiny pump, ok. This is to break up the trail and i dare say it worked.

Somehow, the skin on my right hand doesnt agree with the insect spray and broke out into a rash. I quickly went washed it with my cleanser and rubbed some ointment onto it. Lucky for me, it subsided the next day. See how hazardous these substances can be. It’s only a minute amount and yet, did so much damage. Ok, if i ever see ants under my bed again. I’m going to crawl inside and get rid of it. Blekkkkk…

Wallpaper Or Paintwork For My Room?

What color is your bedroom in? Mine’s in a light shade of pink. It’s rather dirty now and i suggested to hubby to give the room a new coat of paint or cover the walls with new wallpaper. What do you suggest? Paint or wallpaper. To me, wallpaper sounds better as i dont have to worry about getting pen or crayon marks on it. They can be wiped off easily. I know there are wall paint that’s resistant to pen marks or crayon marks these days. I just want a change, k. I think i may go with wallpaper after all. Love those patterned ones. Lovely!!!

How often do you write?

Being one that works online, i hardly get the chance to hold a pen in my hand these days. In fact, my handwriting is horrible now that i cant even read what i’m writing. The other day, hubby brought back some promotional pens and told me to keep them on my work table. I told him he might well keep them for his own use. Half the time, they most likely end up in the trash bin. Or my kids may want to scribble everywhere with them. Or he can go give them to his dad if he like. Me, gimme a new backlit keyboard anytime, lol.

Played golf on Wii before?

It’s been more than a month since i last played with my Nintendo Wii. My FIL deems the noise created by my kids too much for him to bear that he banned them from the living hall. This is just one of the reasons why i’m working so hard to move out of this place. The time will come. I just hope i dont have long to wait. Life sucks when you are living under someone else’s rules. And it’s “family” too, cheh.

Anyway, one of hubby’s favorite game is Tiger Wolf PGA Golf. You should watch him swing the WiiMote. You will think that he’s holding a gold club and not the WiiMote in his hands. He has a few used golf clubs lying around the house. He says he wants to sell them off and buy a few Callaway irons. I told him to just give them away. The thing is, no one plays golf here.

Are you watching Olympics Opening Ceremony LIVE now?

I was at my friend’s organic shop the other day. Went to collect my organic kamut pasta. My kids love the taste and texture very much. I’ll be making them some for breakfast tomorrow. Hubby’s not home for the weekend. Went to KL for some new business dealing. So, i’ll be home with the kids this weekend.

Not that i mind too. Olympics is on and in fact, i’m watching Olympics Opening Ceremony LIVE now. I just hope he remembers to buy me the digital photo frame i saw the last time i went with him. I have far too many photographs inside my harddisk. No point taking so many nice photos when i cant show them off, right. I gotta go. Wanna watch Olympics Opening Ceremony LIVE now.

Envirosax Mikado Flower Petals Shopping Bag – Reusable and Eco-friendly Shopping Bags

Ever since i saw a girlfriend of mine using the Envirosax Mikado Flower Petals Shopping Bag, i’ve been dying to buy one for myself too. If you’ve not seen the Envirosax Mikado Flower Petals Shopping Bags before, let me explain to you briefly how beautiful they are. Envirosax Mikado Flower Petals Shopping Bags are printed with eye-catching colors and comes in lovely, Asian floral designs.

They are guaranteed to make heads turn heads each time you’re at the market. These eco-friendly reusable bags are lightweight and portable. Each one of these reusable Envirosax Mikado Shopping Bags holds the equivalent of two supermarket plastic bags. Rest assured that all reusable Envirosax Mikado Shopping Bags are made utilizing ecologically sustainable practices where possible.

I have a few reasons why i want to buy Envirosax Mikado Reusable Shopping Bags. You see, local shopping centers here recently implemented a new rule whereby shoppers have to pay for plastic bags if they did not bring their own Shopping Bags. Though reusable Shopping Bags are being sold there on the spot, i wouldnt want to be seen carrying one of those hideous-looking reusable shopping bags with their logo on it, lol.

As a young and fashion-conscious mother, who wouldnt want to be seen with one of these lovely and chic Envirosax Mikado Flower Petals Shopping Bags, right. Take a look at these stylish Envirosax Mikado Shopping Bags. Dont you agree with me that they will make heads turn. Moreover, i do get extra loyalty points if i were to use my own reusable shopping bags. Oh, go buy one for yourself.

Of rain and mosquitoes

The weather’s been good of late. There’s rain almost every evening. I like it when it rains. Reason being, i have all the reason to not go out and spend money. It’s getting costly just to leave the house. I may end up 100 bucks poorer with each outing. Anyway, there’s one thing that makes rainy season a nightmare here. And it’s mosquitoes. Each time after the rain stops, my house is filled with them blardy mozzies.

They can be found all over the house. My room is not entirely free from mosquitoes. I have a door with netting that prevents mosquitoes from flying into the room. It helps a lot but each time someone leaves or enter the room, one or two may get inside if they happen to be nearby. I have to wear my long pants at home these days. No choice. It’s either that or get bitten all over. That reminds me to go buy an organic mosquito repellent back for my kids.

My N82 has GPS too

My friends over at the Big Apple called to let me know how much they are enjoying their long weekend off. It’s the 4th of July yesterday and it’s a Friday too. Most of them are taking advantage of the long weekend to do some traveling. How i wish i can join them.

Jules told me he bought a GPS system for his car recently and plans to test it out this weekend. My N82 is equipped with GPS too. It’s pretty useless to me as i seldom drive, lol. One day…. wait till i buy my own car first. I’ll definitely test mine out by doing some traveling too.

My uncle hurt his arm again

My aunt called to let us know my uncle hurt his arm again. He has gone to see his doctor and for the fourth time, he told him not to move it. Actually, both my uncle and aunt are in the midst of moving their belongings over to their new place. They sold their old house and the new owners are moving in next week.

They should have called a New York Moving Company to help them move their furniture over but my uncle is stubborn. He thought he can do it all by himself. See what happened now. He wont be able to do much except sit down quietly. My cousins have been informed and they have gone over to help their parents out. Well, hope his arm recovers soon.

What to buy for a two year old?

I’m looking forward to this Sunday. It’s my baby’s second birthday. Both hubby and i didnt plan anything fancy for him. We will buy him a really delicious ice-cream cake and take lots of pictures at home. A girlfriend is getting married to a North Carolina health insurance agent on the same day too. I’ve sent her a nice present and wish her happiness forever. Hmmmm, what do you i should buy for my baby this birthday? Any suggestions?

Shopping for new office furniture

I may need to buy a new set of office furniture soon. The sides are peeling and the sharp edges may cut my hands if i’m not careful. Right now, i’ve filed the edges down with my nail file but i know this is not a good solution. I dont want those sharp edges to cut my kids hands too as they love to run their small hands along the edges of my desktop.

Hubby says he will accompany me to the office furniture shop tomorrow. And if i can find an affordable set of good quality office furniture, i wont hesitate to buy it back and throw away the one i’m using now. I wont buy an expensive set of office furniture as i want to wait till i’ve achieved my targeted income first. Then, i will reward myself with a good set of designer’s office furniture.
