I believe that life and relationships should not be complicated at all. When i married my husband, all the both of us did was sign on the wedding certificate. With that one piece of paper in hand, we were both pronounced husband and wife. We didnt need any Engagement Rings with Diamonds, nor Gold Jewelry. To us, as long as we love and trust each other, it’ll keep us together. And we’ve been together for almost fifteen years. We have two lovely kids too. Aint life simple and bliss?

My baby will be turning two next month. Time flies when one’s a mother. I still remember the time i was lying on the operating table waiting for my Caesarean op and having the lil bundle of joy in my arms 20 minutes later. I must remember to get a new bottle of sunscreen on my next trip to the mall. Mine is running very low and the weather is extremely hot these days. I have to send my kids to school at 12.30pm and you know how hot the sun is at that time of the day, right. I even make sure my kids dont leave the house without a layer of protection. I’ve heard how dangerous it can be if we dont protect our skin from the harsh rays of the sun. And i do live in a country where the sun shines all year round.

My friend just told me about the new sunscreen that she bought from Screen, Inc. lately. She knows how much i hate using sunscreen that’s greasy. There was once i bought one which is so greasy that i threw it away immediately. I’m afraid it’ll clog my pores up. I’ll give it a try if i can find one at the mall. I really dont understand why my friend is so against her kid opting to go to a flight attendant school instead of a college of her choice. It’s his future and i feel that he should have a say in what and where he wants to study, right. Now, i heard that a flight attendant career is a very rewarding one. The pay is good, they get good employee benefits. They get to travel to so many destinations during their career and get to know so many people. I think no other career can be as exciting than a career in the sky.

She on the other hand, wants her kid to be an accountant so that he can take over his father’s business next time. It’s clear that his kid isnt interested in the family business at all and it’s also no point in forcing him to be what he doesnt want to. If i’m in his position, i’d rather follow my heart and pursue my own dreams. I’m learning how to bake now. I just bought a new toaster oven and a new mixer. I dont really to eat those commercial cakes, breads and cookies and i want to bake them for my kids. I did bake a cake using store bought premix the other day and it turned out quite well. I was surprised that my little toaster oven can bake cake and produce quite a good result too. If i get better at this, i may want to upgrade to a better and proper oven so that i can bake more good food for my family.

I had to help my father-in-law collect some old financial records from the company he once worked for more than 20 years ago. He faxed me the details of those documents required and told he hope the company still keeps them. His accountant told him the taxman wanted them as reference and if he’s unable to produce it, he may have to pay a higher tax next year. I told my father-in-law not to have such high hope as it’s really been a long time and the company might have destroyed those old documents a long time ago.

I was surprised to see that the company he once worked for is such a modern and well-run business. I got to know that the old folks have retired and passed the business to their children. The contractor told them there were termites in their ceiling beams holding up the roof where it crashed. They’ve now changed the whole roof and hopes nothing happens to them anymore. My brother-in-law also wants to erect a building on the piece of land right next to his house for the same purose. Perhaps i should tell him to consider metal buildings too.

I went to my friend’s store this afternoon to pick up some baking items. I bought a small iron yesterday and would like to bake some cookies for my kids. I dont really like those store-bought cookies as they contain a lot of preservatives and also transfat. Transfat is not good for growing up children as it blocks their ability to learn. It was raining when i arrived at he store and we had a chat.
