The heat has finally gotten to my kids. They are both sick. I hope they get well by next week in time for school. Damn, when will we ever get some nice cool weather again. I really dont mind the rain at all now. Where i live, if it’s not freaking hot, it rains. We wont ever get a time where we can walk without the heat upon us or getting wet. How i wish i can fly off to somewhere cold now. Sick of the weather.
I used to hear people saying that as one grows old, one becomes senile. So, how far true can that be? Let me tell you this, it can be quite true. You see, someone apparently used a plastic steaming rack with the wok and caused it to melt. And this someone is more than 60 years old. And this someone has been cooking forever. How can that someone not know that plastic will melt inside the wok? If not for senility, i dont have another word for it. And just in case you dont know, the plastic steamer rack is the kind that came with the rice cooker. And it’s to be used with the rice cooker and nothing but the rice cooker, period.
My hormones are wreaking havoc on my face again and i’m sprouting zit all over my forehead again. I guess it’s the stress due to sleepless night and also not drinking enough water. I must make a pint to drink at least 2litres of water each day to help rid my system of all the built-up toxin within. If not, my face and skin is going to suffer more. At least i’m not constipated like a=many of my other girlfriends. And yes, i must not dig those zits!!!!
The rash on my right hand is back. And this time, it’s spread from a few small spots to a larger area and itchy like hell cos i scratched it in the middle of the night in my sleep. You see, my MIL loves to buy those floor cleaner back and insists that i use it. I told her i cannot come in contact with those chemicals but she insists i give it a try as she’s switched to a different brand. I told her this will be the last time i try and i was so right. I’m so not going to use anymore of those chemicals for the floor now. Plain water is just fine. If she keeps whining, she can either go mop it herself or hire a maid back.
To be honest with you, i dont really enjoy festive celebrations. I find that it stresses me out ore than anything else. You see, i live with my in-laws and they have many relatives. And they will be coming here one by one without fail. It’s the same old story each year. “How’s your kids?”, “How’s work?”, “How’s business?”, blah blah blah, boring, boring, boring. I have no choice but to bear with it. Oh well, it’s only two weeks. I will survive. I always do, lol. Just have to keep breathing in and out and in and out….. ooohhhmmmmmmm.
Or shall i say death of the common sense. It irks me to see that many household do not have this health practice in place. And this includes mine. I’ve tried on many occasions to place a common spoon to every dish that’s served. Too bad they are ignored most of the time and i see their chopsticks and other utensil picking at the food without a thought for others. This is one of the most common way to contract diseases. Too bad everyone thinks it’s fine to share theirs around. This is just one of the reasons i seldom eat at home. If you are still not using a common spoon at home, you may want to start this healthy practice starting NOW!!!
I’m mad. Mad because MIL gave me a black face when i went to her room to turn this damn exhoust fan off. Mad because they can be really stupid and ignorant to the fact that secondhand smoke is detrimental to one’s health. Mad because this guest room is rendered useless and smells awful. Mad because i have no other place to work. Mad because i have to live here. Mad because i cant move out. Mad because i’m mad. MAD MAD MAD MAD MAD!!!
The day started awfully even before i opened my eyes. I knocked off at 5am, and was woken up by my kid’s crying. He pee-ed and wet himself in bed. The room is cold and he’s naked waistdown, aiks. I’m trying to get him to stop wearing nappies to bed. Looks like it didnt go all too well last night. I only had about 3 hours sleep max. I know i’ll be grouchy all day long. So, stay away from me if you must. And no, i’m NOT PMS-ing!!!
I have nothing to say about my stupid sister-in-laws. You see, they always come over to my house whenever they are sick I know it cos there will be tissue papers lying all over the place. I heard one of them tell their mom once that she doesnt want her kids to catch whatever she has from her.
Eh, hello. I have kids too, k. And i also wonder why my in-laws allow them to come over knowing very well there are kids here. And that they might contract whatever that they have. This is one of those issues that bugs me very much and yet, i cant do much about. The only thing i can do now is to get hubby to kick them out if i even get to know if they are over with their sickness.
I emailed quite a few photos from my phone to this blog. Somehow some arent turning up. Sometimes, i do see it on flickr’s side, but not on the blog. Now, neither!!! Funny. It’s registered as sent from my side. But i cant seem to see it on flickr???!!! Funny eh. Anyone experiencing this? I do get this once in a while. I dont think there’s anything wrong with my phone settings. The fault most probably lies with flickr….. sien……….
