How about going on a cruise this Summer?

If you are looking for a more relaxing way to enjoy your Summer holidays, i’d recommend you check out these cruises. A few of my friends have gone on these cruises before and they enjoy themselves very much. Sadly, i’m so lacking behind as far as vacations are concerned, lol. Yes, i’m a workaholic and prefer to sit in front of my pc all day long. But if those cruises offers high speed internet on board, i dont mind spending a week there.

Enjoy your Summer vacation

It’s Summer and most of my friends living in the States have gone for their Summer vacation. Jason told me they have planned for Orlando vacations a few months back. Too bad i wasnt able to join him this time. School break here is very different from theirs. Anyway, my kids are still too young to travel so far.

Malcolm only wants to nurse and i know he’ll be tugging at my shirt all the time throughout the entire flight. You wont understand this unless you are a breastfeeding mom, k. Until he’s weaned off me, overseas travel is a big no-no for me. Well, Summer just started. Hope you guys have a great time, ya. Enjoy!!!

Shopping for new office furniture

I may need to buy a new set of office furniture soon. The sides are peeling and the sharp edges may cut my hands if i’m not careful. Right now, i’ve filed the edges down with my nail file but i know this is not a good solution. I dont want those sharp edges to cut my kids hands too as they love to run their small hands along the edges of my desktop.

Hubby says he will accompany me to the office furniture shop tomorrow. And if i can find an affordable set of good quality office furniture, i wont hesitate to buy it back and throw away the one i’m using now. I wont buy an expensive set of office furniture as i want to wait till i’ve achieved my targeted income first. Then, i will reward myself with a good set of designer’s office furniture.

Stress-free vacation :)

Holidays are supposed to be a great way to destress and refresh ourselves after having spent long hours working. Now that i’ve finally found the time tosit down and plan for my holiday, i’ve no idea where to start. I’ve been to a few travel agencies, but they dont seem to offer great deals at all. After trotting from agency to agency, i’m feeling more stressed out. And i still havent found my dream vacation yet :(

Over dinner last night with some friends, my friends asked me whether i’ve found my travel destination yet. They all laughed when i told them what happened and asked me to check out vacations.net instead. I can get great deals just by clicking with my mouse. As much as 50% savings off regular rates. I’m so relieved to hear that. This is the kind of stress-free holiday that i’m looking for :)

To Japan i will go!!!

I got this new created tag by Shoppingmum. Wahhh, so many tags going around, and i still have a few more which i cannot even recall which is which now :o But if i dont do this pronto, then no one’s gonna tag me lohh next time!

*** Place your 2 -3 paragraph of where you want to go here***

Japan… where else. I’ve always loved everything about Japan. From language, food to boyfriends. I know nuts about their culture nor do i care. I studied Japanese when i was 12, can still remember and write every single one of those Hiragana and Katakana till now, dun pway-pway. But those knn kanjis… giving me major headache as i dont come from a Chinese school, lol.

Food, love sushi, chawan mushi, teppanyaki, ika shiokara, nato, sashimi, aiay…. you name it, ilike it. Japanese food is virtually oil-free and very very healthy. That’s why you can find that most of the longest living people in the world are japanese. I’m in the process of learning more about their diet and it’s health benefits.

As for boyfriends… dunno why all my boyfriends during my college days all Japs, denggg. Never did find a local version to my liking perhaps. But true enough, they can be quite a pain in the ass and very chauvinistic. So, half the time, our personalities clashes, and it’s NEXT. Apart from that, they can be very generous…. ego mah.

Holiday Cottages in UK

I asked my friend to help me run a search on holiday cottages Cornwall. Hubby’s going there to visit some relatives. She found me two beautiful fishermen’s cottages sitting on Polperro’s outer harbour wall; touted as the most romantic cottages in Cornwall. She showed me a few pictures that she printed from the website, and i do agree with her.

Most of the cottages have open log fires. And i can even bring along my dog. All pets are welcome. Those cottages can house 2-16 persons. My, we can even have a party there. Price range is also reasonable; from £95 - £3,450 per week. I’ll definitely let hubby know so that he can confirm his booking soon.

Spanish Paella

A friend invited us over to her house for dinner just now. She cooked a spanish dish called paella for us. They just got back from Spain and told us it was one of the best dishes they’ve ever had. The recipe is from a Spanish friend of theirs. I’ve only had paella once prior to this. And that was so many years back. I’ve totally forgotten about how it tasted until now.

My friend cooked it well. But she says we must go to Spain one day and try the authentic version for ourself. Of cos, we will. She recommended that we book our stay with spanishventure.co.uk that handles Costa Blanca North Property. She stayed at a 3 bed apartment in Marbella for two whole months and even showed us some pictures of the apartment. Not bad, huh.

Skiing at Park City, Utah

Living in a country where the weather is hot all year round can make a person very hot-tempered. The humidty is heavy and couple that with a rainy season now, makes me want to go live elsewhere for a change. I want to go somewhere where the weather is cold. Oh, of course i can always go to Genting Highlands. But i’ve been there far too many times.

I want to try skiing this time. Have never done that before. My friend who’ve been to ski resorts tells it’s really fun. She went to Park City in Utah before and told me that i can book my holiday through resortpropertymanagement.com, that handles Park City Utah Condo Rentals. I’m gonna book a 2 bedroom unit at Lift Lodge Condo since we’re going as a family. Take a look at the place. Isnt it cosy and inviting. I’m sure we’re going to have a great time there with our kids.
