Organic Parade

I was just telling hubby about all those colorful candy canes and Christmas cookies sold at Cold Storage when he reminded me that i need to lose some weight, lol. That man, you cant really talk to him about junk foods. Him, he’s only interested in organic food and health supplements. And yes, he hogs the Wii Fit too. Sometimes, i had to lock myself up inside the room just so that i can workout on my Wii Fit. If not, i will never be able to chart my workout progress. How to lose weight that way, you tell me.

Christmas is just round the corner and i sure want to look good then. I have a few party invitations but havent decided which to attend. I cant reply to any of those invitations as we may have plans of our own then. My SIL hinted to me last Sunday that she may want to throw a party for her kid who scored 7As for his UPSR exam.She asked me if i have a any party ideas to share or not. Me, i’ve not thrown a party for such a long time. After asking some friends, i was given a link to this site where she can find all the party ideas that she’ll ever need.

I’m so going to whack my kid’s bum if he continues to leave the bedroom door wide open. The weather is so hot these days and i have no choice but to stay inside my room with the air-conditioner turned on full blast. I know this will jack the electricity bill up but like i said earlier, i have no choice. I’d love to take my laptop out and sit at the mall, but too bad, my kids cant behave there these days. The other thing i can do to stay cool is take a cold bath every few hours or so.

I enjoy relaxing in the long bath very much. When i was a working gal, the studio apartment i rented had a long bath. Each evening after work, i enjoy soaking in the long bath with my favorite aromatherapy essential oils. Now, all we have is a tiny bathroom. The economy is so bad now that i dare not buy a property. Hubby says to wait till next year when property is lower. I dont mind waiting as long as i dont have to pay way above the market value for my future home. No point slaving over the mortgage.

I’m a simple person. I just want a small house of five bedrooms. And yes, they must have their individual bathrooms as i hate sharing my personal space. I was helping a friend select bathroom suites for her new place just now. They are so elegant and surprisingly, affordable too. I ran out of organic cereal and had to head over to grab a few packets from the organic store this noon. My two year old only eats that. He’s quite a picky eater and seldom tries new tastes. Oh well, if he likes the organic cereal, i’d better go make sure i have plenty in the kitchen. He takes one sachet before he goes to daycare and another before bedtime.

The recent increase in fuel prices a couple of months back have caused many organic goods to go up in price. Thought the price of the organic cereal which i bought did not changed, it’s contents certainly did. It’s down by a whopping 25%. Used to contain 16 sachets in a packet. Now, it only has 12 in it. Even though our Government have reduced the priced of fuel a few times, i dont see suppliers nor retailers lowering their prices.

My cousin was also ranting to me about how much more he had to pay when he went to the health store to buy some supplements. He works out a the gym and takes a lot of supplements. I’ve been out shopping with a girlfriend these past few days. It’s been more than a year after the birth of her baby daughter, and yet, she cant seem to lose all the fat around her mid-section. I know what it’s like to live with a migraine headache all the time. My sister-in-law has it and each time just before her period, she’ll get the migraine headaches. I know many of you do not have the luxury of sleeping a good eight hours. Most of my friends only get around 6 hours of sleep each day. Like me, i dont get to sleep 8 hours straight. My sleeping pattern is divided into two parts. As a blogger, i only get to work on my blogs peacefully after the kids have gone to bed. If not, they’ll be climbing all over me demanding for this and that.

Take for example last night. I decided to burn the midnight candle and worked till 7am. Took a short nap and woke up at around 11am to get my kids ready for school. Then, went out for lunch with hubby and now, after this post, i’ll have to get back to bed to take a nap before the kids come home from school. If not, i wont be able to stay up and work tonight. In order to get a good night’s sleep, it’s important that we choose a mattress that’s suitable for us. As i’m one who sits in my chair all the time, my back gets tired easily.

When i was still studying, my ambition was to be an attorney. Those days, there werent TV drama series like The Practice or Law And Order to influence me. I just wanted to be an attorney after hearing how my dad’s friend helped an accident victim seek compensation from a truck company. It was a freak accident. The driver nearly got away but dad’s friend managed to gather all the necessary evidence and had him put behind bars for eight years.

That happened so long ago. After i left school, i didnt pursue a Law Degree but went and took up a course in Graphics Design instead. Not that i regret my decision as my cousin is an attorney and each time he handles a case, he has to stay up and do a lot of facts finding and such. It’s sheer torture. There was once he lost a case due to lack of evidence and the court had to let the rapist go.

He now has a new case on his hands and it’s a difficult one too. This time, it’s an assault case whereby the assailant attacked a young girl before robbing her. She’s now in hospital. When i delivered my baby at the hospital, i stayed there for two days. My friend on the other hand, chose to stay there for a week instead. She says she’d rather rest at the hospital than be home alone with the baby. Her husband is away at the office all day long and only comes home late at night. Her mom was away on her holiday and wont be back to help her with her newborn. So, she feels the hospital is still the best place for the first week after her delivery. Easy for her cos it’s her first baby. Things are different with me as i still have another toddler waiting at home for my return from the hospital with baby. Hubby can only do so much, lol.

I asked her how she spends her days at the hospital as she dont have to keep an eye on baby. The nurses will bring baby over to her to be breastfed. Thereafter, he will be sleeping at the nursery until his next feed. I chose to room-in with mine though cos i just want to look at him all day long, lol. Silly me. I should be resting and i didnt do that. She brought her laptop along with her to the hospital though. Her husband accompanies her at night. It can be boring for him so what he did was he went and did sports betting at GTLT Sports to kill time, lol. At least he’s willing to stay there at the hospital with my friend. Cannot complain much, huh.

My hands are really tired. I have to type at my keyboard for long hours everyday of the week. I am a fulltime blogger with many blogs that needs constant updating. I love what i’m doing but the long hours i put in can really stress me out at times. And my hands do get tired easily. I’ve not had a sauna session for more than a years. Ever since i had my baby, taking care of them day and night really leaves me with not much time left to pamper myself. My mother-in-law is also not feeling well these days and my work schedule is getting more hectic by the day. It’s important for a person to go for a sauna session once in a while.
