I’m so sorry to hear that my uncle has to spend Chinese New Year at the hospital. He fractured his leg in a motorcycle accident two night before Chinese New Year and needed corrective surgery. He’s lucky apart from a fractured leg, nothing serious happened to him. But then, the person who knocked into him isnt as lucky as my uncle is. According to my uncle, he drove his car right into the drain and is now still unconscious. Well, he hope he can make it through the ordeal and be home soon with his family. He called up to ask me to bring along my laptop to the hospital as he says it’s boring to have to spend Chinese New Year there all alone. He wants to play online casino to kill time instead. We’ve been friends since our primary school years and that means, we’ve known each other for almost thirty years. That really long time, you know. She told her about her hubby and kids interests and i told her mine, lol. I got to know that they are huge rugby fans. The only person i know who follows with rugby updates is my cousin. He used to play for his school team when he was still studying.

My uncle now spends most of his time sitting at home. He retired last year and from what i heard, his eyesight is getting worse. Most of his friends are also retired and loves to go to the club for golf or friendly poker games. If not, there is nothing much to do anyway. My aunt used to accompany him there but she says it can get boring as he can really spend a long time there. And all the driving up and down everyday can be really tiring for her too. So, what she did was she went and bought him a computer and told him to do online gambling instead, lol. This is news to me. She says it helps to keep his mind alert and as long as he’s happy and not feeling bored, she’s okay with it.

Hubby asked me if i still need to use the laptop or not. I told him he can have it as he needs it for his work. He is now helping out a friend who’s lying at the hospital with his work. Most of his work is online and the hospital offers free wifi to their patients. I think they understand how boring it can get if one has to stay there for a long time. But even if there isnt wifi connection there, hubby has a portable modem that allows him to go online anytime anywhere using wireless broadband. I’ve stayed at the hospital before and i know how boring it can be, But he’s helping his friend with his work till his son comes back to take over. I think it’s very sweet of hubby to help his friend out when he’s down. I hope he gets well soon and we can go for our year end holiday soon.

He doesnt want honey and insists on the organic sugar we saw yesterday.

Being the loving wife, i went to get it back for him. I hope he knows how much i cared or him and he better make sure he buys me a great Christmas gift this year, lol. I dropped by the hospital this afternoon to pay my cousin a visit. He fractured both his legs when he fell off the bulldozer he was handling. When i asked him what happened, he cannot remember much. But as long as he’s alright now, that’s all that matters. My aunt nearly freaked out when she heard he had an accident at work. I told him he should really consider going to a Heavy Equipment Operator School to obtain the necessary skills to handle such monstrous vehicles. It’s important to place his safety before everything else. He may not be so lucky the next time. I have a friend who went to Associated Training Services (ATS), a premier heavy equipment operator training schools. He even got a job with a reputable company after that. So, it really does pay to get himself qualified in order to get a good paying job. I hope he will take the time to consider it.

I was told i will only get to use the company’s laptop for a few more weeks. They are putting them up for our members to bid on as the company wants to sell them off. That means, i’ll be without a laptop to take along with me when i go out. How can, i need to log on to the internet each time my phone rings. I’ll have to buy a new laptop as soon as possible to avoid interruption to my work. I will still bid for the one i’m using right now.
